The Vampire Diaries Season 6: Will Damon End up Losing Elena to a New Man?

The action in The Vampire Diaries Season 6 has picked up, and things are moving fast in Mystic Falls. With twists and turns in every episode, fans are having a hard time keeping up with the plot line.

If you are a fan of the Damon-Elena pair, then you should be ready to nurse your broken heart. The upcoming episode, titled ‘Black Hole Sun’ will have Stefan (Paul Wesley) propose to Elena (Nina Dobrev). Yes, you read that right! Delena fans will have a massive heartbreak when they see the promo of the fourth episode of The Vampire Diaries Season 6. It shows Stefan proposing Elena with a ring. However, there is a teaser that indicates that the moment might be stalled by an untimely visitor.

In the previous episodes of The Vampire Diaries Season 6 we see Elena sad and depressed about her long-lost love and in order to get over it, she asks Alaric (Matt Davis) to erase her memories and replace them with new ones. Alaric removes memories of the ‘lover’ from Elena’s mind. She now remembers Damon, as the demon brother of Stefan, her best friend. There are numerous claims and speculations that Elena might meet a new man, Liam, with talks of them sharing a kiss.

The next episode of The Vampire Diaries Season 6 features Stefan and Caroline (Candice Accola), as we know from the promos. Apart from that no other details have been revealed. Stefan goes to Caroline for help, and as the writers would have it, Caroline is dressed in a towel as she comes out from the shower. There might be sparks flying between the estranged lovers, but no word yet about them coming back.

Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) who were trapped in the 90s Mystic Fall from the beginning of The Vampire Diaries Season 6, might finally have found a way to return to the present. Bonnie has mysteriously regained her power after an encounter with Kai. The season premiered with the poster shot of them holding hands, and we know that Damon and Bonnie’s fate are intertwined.

Damon and Bonnie find a clue that states that they must tap into long lost memories of Damon as they will hold the key to escaping. Damon will have to go through the excruciating pain of reliving some of the worst days from his past.

There is much action packed for the coming weeks, and you should not miss the episodes. Damon has to go through nightmarish times in order to return to Mystic Falls and upon returning finds a different Elena, who is cold and distant. How do you think he will react?
