As the new season of “The Vampire Diaries” is approaching, fans have been scouting the Internet for any kind of information on the new episodes, but of course the show’s producers have been keeping their lips tightly shut, at least for the most part. While we do get the occasional hint about what’s coming up, the plot is still mostly a mystery, and fans have been very actively speculating about possible developments coming up in season 7.
Caroline Dries has decided to actually share a little insight on the new season, but at the same time she still wanted to keep the plot mostly a secret, so fans didn’t get to see many exciting spoilers. At the end of the last season, we saw Stefan telling Caroline that he would wait for her until she was ready to finally be with him, teasing what the character is going to have to face in the future.
Stefan has definitely evolved as a character quite a bit throughout the series, and we will finally see the results of that growing in season 7, with all of that extra experience coming into play. He’s quite old, but it looks like the last six years have been particularly full of new experiences for him. Even at 160, he has still learned quite a bit, so it will be interesting to see how the next season plays out with regards to his character in particular.
We’re also going to see Lily and her two sons getting even deeper into their battle, as Lily now has her “family” back which is bound to cause trouble in Mystic Falls, and Enzo will likely be forced to pick a side in the course of these events.
We’ve also been hearing some rather negative news about some members of the show’s cast, as Ian Somerhalder recently made the headlines by denying a selfie to one of his fans. The fan was apparently driven to tears, but considering that she was reportedly bothering Somerhalder during what was supposed to be a relaxing stroll for him, we can’t really blame him for having such a reaction.
It’s not actually rare that we would hear of such incidents involving celebrities, and for the most part, the problem seems to be with fans themselves who don’t have a sense of when it’s appropriate to bother their favorite stars, and when they should probably leave them alone. There are times that are appropriate for a picture, and when you see a star out for a walk with their partner, that is probably not one of those times.
