Jeremy Lin Gets Lazy But Finds Passion For The NBA Once Again!

The odds are pretty good that you have heard the name Jeremy Lin before. During the 2012 season with the New York Knicks, Jeremy Lin made a name for himself and another name for the way that he was playing. That name came through the sports networks as “Linsanity” and that was due to the fact that the minute he appeared on the floor for the Knicks, it appeared that the team was ready for a winning season that was not there a few days before.

Jeremy Lin’s career started in 2010 as an un-drafted player going to the Golden State Warriors at the time. He went to Harvard University without a scholarship and even though he was given a contract with the Warriors, he would only play with them for one season. After bouncing around a little throughout the next season, Jeremy Lin impressed someone at the Knicks and that is when it all changed for the young man.

Even though Jeremy Lin made a name for himself by being assigned to the starting lineup on the Knicks during the 2012 season, he would still be traded away to the Rockets by signing a three year deal. He only played two seasons and it was time for the Lakers to pick up the young star via trade in 2014. He had high hopes playing for the Lakers as the team was well known for getting to the playoffs and the NBA Finals. Jeremy Lin played the first 20 games of the Lakers season, but was not fitting well into the new offense.

The new offense was one that he was not easily recognizing as the same from New York or Houston and that caused a problem. Although the stats were there for him and the team, the 2014-2015 season did not go as many of them planned that it would. Now that the season is over, Jeremy Lin has been talking about being burned out and wanting to just be “lazy” during the off season. The bad thing about that is that the NBA season starts so quickly and if he wants a place in the starting lineup, he has to be working out all of the time.

Right now, Jeremy Lin is a free agent and he is going to have to keep up with training in order to look good to any team, even the Lakers should they decide to resign him. He was shocked himself at how lazy he felt and how little passion he could muster to get started with off season training, according to a post on his personal blog. That is normal, since the NBA season can be quite long with 82 games spread over many months.
