PlayStation Store Gives Gamers Opportunity to Play Catch Up on ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Video Games

Canadian game developer Ubisoft will be releasing the latest installment to its very popular and successful “Assassin’s Creed” video game franchise on October 23 on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and the PC officially titled “Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate.”

It was previously titled as “Assassin’s Creed: Victory” but for some reasons, Ubisoft renamed the historical action-adventure open-world stealth video game.

While the “Assassin’s Creed” franchise is one of the most popular video game series these days, there are still plenty of gamers, particularly the novice and also the occasional gaming types, who are not too familiar or adept with the plotlines and gameplays of the “Assassin’s Creed” games.

With an upcoming addition to the series soon, PlayStation Store decided to give the games who are not too familiar with the game’s plotlines and gameplays an opportunity to catch up so that when the “Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” is released in October, they already know their way around or into the new video game.

Reduced prices

The PlayStation Store has decided to reduce the prices of every “Assassin’s Creed”
game that is available in the market today.

“Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag,” which featured the swashbuckling adventures of Edward Kenway, is now down to $34.55 for the PlayStation 4 and down to $15.36 for the PlayStation 3, notes Games Radar.

The PS Store is now offering the 2014 released “Assassin’s Creed Unity” at 50% off and is now being retailed at only $42.22.

“Assassin’s Creed 2,” which featured the captivating setting of the Renaissance Italy era is now down to $5.91, which is really a bargain.

Assuming gamers can still find other “Assassin’s Creed” games on the PlayStation Store within the next few days, those are likely to be retailed at slashed prices too. PlayStation Store did not say whether this is a limited time offer but gamers, especially those who want to be abreast with the “Assassin’s Creed” franchise, should spare no time in grabbing these hot deals.

Plenty of history materials

“Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” lead writer Darby McDevitt said that Ubisoft writers have created 500, 600, 700 years worth of history so that they can start teasing it out for the next 10, 20 years, or however long they will be around.

He added that he has been working over the last two years with all the other Ubisoft writers and they all have pieced together voluminous documents on the First Civilization.

“Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” is the ninth game in the historical fiction action-adventure open world stealth video game series that follows the successful launch of “Assassin’s Creed: Unity” and “Assassin’s Creed: Rogue in November last year.
