Fans of the “Final Fantasy” franchise have been waiting for more news about the development progress on the 15th installment, and it looks like Square Enix are planning to make some official revelations very soon – the company is going to provide certain updates on the game’s development on June 4 during their next Active Time Report.
In the event, we’ll see director Hajime Tabata giving various details about the game, accompanied by Akio Ofuji, global marketing manager for the company. Fans will be able to see the video on both YouTube and Twitch, and of course it will be subtitled so everyone should be able to enjoy it.
While we don’t know exactly what will be revealed about the game during the upcoming presentation, we can assume that we’ll see some major news this time, as the development of “Final Fantasy XV” has reportedly been coming along quite smoothly, and the game has a lot more content to be shown to the world this time. Players have already been discussing the possibilities for this announcement on various messaging boards, but of course until June 4 rolls around, we can only guess about the contents of the presentation.
The company is also planning to release an update to the demo for the game, which they already made available a while back. The update will be titled “Episode Duscae 2.0” and it was previously said by Square Enix that they’re aiming at early June for its release, so that could coincide with the presentation as well. It’s possible that we might actually see the new version of the demo released along with the presentation, though Square Enix haven’t said anything in this regard so far.
Previously, during the last Active Time Report that the studio held in April, they discussed some of the most common criticisms that players have had towards the demo, and currently everyone is expecting “Episode Duscae 2.0” to address a majority of these issues. The company also talked about allegations that they had made a character of the game “too sexy”, but we don’t know if she will be changing her design or not.
There is more to come from Square Enix other than this presentation too, as the studio is also going to host an E3 press conference on June 16. They haven’t stated whether there will be any revelations about “Final Fantasy XV” during that press conference, but we can assume that they will at least give an update on their progress with the game.
