Macaulay Culkin, the former child star from the first two “Home Alone” movie series, recently had a brief little reunion with Catherine O’Hara, who played his mother during those two films.
“Home Alone” was shown in 1990 and the sequel titled “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” followed suit two years later. Both films made money on the tills that catapulted Macaulay Culkin to child superstardom at that time.
Upon their chance meeting, Catherine O’Hara was quoted as saying that she has not seen Macaulay for quite some time, recalling that their last meeting happened about two years ago during the Martin Mull art opening.
Catherine detailed that Macaulay was coming out of the art gallery as she was about to come in and the former child actor shouted “Mommy!” Caught by surprise, the actress gamely responded by also quipping “Baby!”
Her husband spared no time in taking pictures of the little “Home Alone” reunion on his phone. Catherine later on wished that he could share those beautiful reunion pictures of her with Macaulay but it’s in the phone of her husband.
Pink highlights
Just last month, Macaulay Culkin was spotted in New York City stepping out of a taxicab apparently for some sort of errands. And he was seen rocking some pink highlights on his hair.
Macaulay has been regarded as eccentric when it comes to his looks but he prefers it most of the time considering that he is no longer the big star that he once was when he was still a child.
From 1988 to 2011, the 34-year-old Macaulay Culkin has 18 film credits to his name highlighted by several blockbuster hits including the first two “Home Alone” movies, “The Good Son,” and “Richie Rich.” He has retired from acting at the age of 14.
Macaulay Culkin married actress Rachel Miner in 1998 but they separated two years later. Their divorce became official in 2002. He then began dating Mila Kunis in May 2002. Sometime in January 2011, the publicist of Mila Kunis confirmed that the two have separated several months earlier but their split was amicable and that they have remain close friends.
Culkin has been dating actress Jordan Lane Price since November 2013.
Internet death
Late last year, Macaulay Culkin became a victim of an internet death hoax. It began when a source posted on the internet that Macaulay was found dead in a New York City apartment.
But instead of getting piqued by the reports, Macaulay parodied the hilarious 1980 movie “Weekend at Bernie’s” where he posted some of his pictures on Twitter pretending that he was Bernie.
One tweet also came from The Pizza Underground, which is his Velvet Underground tribute band, reports Just Jared. The post also came with a note saying that his band just performed last night at Belmont and said that he is very much alive because they are on tour.
