In February there have been reports that pop singer Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger can hardly keep off each other that they were reportedly taking their relationship to the next level.
Less than two months later, the love-fest is now hanging by a thread according to a source close to the couple.
The relationship hit a rocky patch after the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger was photographed getting flirty with the girlfriend of Miley Cyrus’ friend during a spring break party in March, reports Yahoo! News.
Reports have it that the relationship of the high-profile couple has become tense after the incident. The “Wrecking Ball” singer has been devastated by her boyfriend’s behaviour during the spring break party last month.
Not giving up
Despite getting upset over the incident, Miley Cyrus does not want to just give up on their relationship as quickly. She has reportedly given Patrick another chance because she is not about ready to break things off with him.
The source said that Miley wants to give Patrick the opportunity to redeem himself by giving him one last shot. But accordingly, the last chance came with some conditions on their relationship as stipulated by Miley and what she expects to get from Patrick.
One of the main conditions that she has set is for them to undergo couples therapy until the issues between them are completely resolved.
Although, Patrick was somewhat skeptical and hesitant about it, but the source said that he is willing to go through it if only to get back to the good graces of Miley because he really loves the singer accordingly. Patrick reportedly said that he’s game whatever Miley wishes for him.
A sponsored love affair
Patrick and Miley began dating in November last year. While Patrick’s parents Arnold and Maria Shriver have openly stated that they are not in favor of the singer for their son because of her raunchy behaviour, Patrick defied them and continue with the relationship.
Maria Shriver even threatened to withhold the $49 million trust fund of their 21-year-old son if he continues to see Miley but Patrick was bullheaded and even told his mother that they can keep the money to themselves because he is not letting go of the singer.
Reports also have it that the relationship of the two is a sponsored one for Patrick as Miley has been paying everything while they’re dating including $45,000 for travel expenses and $25,000 for clothing.
Thus, people have been saying that Patrick has been using Miley for money because he almost never opens his wallet. Every time they go out, Miley hands him cash and Patrick just settles the bill to at least show to the public that the money came from him.
