Lady Gaga has publicly come out to express support to Taylor Swift’s mother and her family as she battles cancer.
It was Taylor Swift who announced earlier this week that her mother was diagnosed to have cancer after a screening was made on her recently. She made the announcement on her Tumblr social media account.
The “Shake It Off” singer even went on to tell her fans to have their parents checked for cancer soon enough because it is only through such process that they can truly determine if their folks are healthy or not.
Cancer is a disease that hardly shows any symptoms until it gets to the latter stages, where it almost always becomes incurable already.
Praying for recovery
In her latest tweet, Lady Gaga expressed sympathy to Taylor Swift’s mother and also to the family for the debilitating disease. She said that she will be praying for Taylor’s mom, hopeful that she can get through the ailment and completely recover from it.
Lady Gaga’s post on Twitter was pretty much addressed to the 25-year-old Taylor Swift and her message goes: God bless you and your mama and family. We’ll be praying.
As Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta in real life, Lady Gaga has just been engaged to long-time boyfriend Taylor Kinney in February as Taylor popped the question to the “Poker Face” hit singer on Valentine’s Day.
Lady Gaga is just one of the many other celebrities who extended their well-wishes and support to Taylor Swift and her family as they have to contend with the ordeal for their matriarch.
Jamie King also posted on Twitter and had the #PrayForMamaSwift line on it. The American actress and model said in her post that she and the others love Taylor, her brother Austin as well as their mother and father.
Mindy Kaling, the American Indian actress, also encouraged the “Blank Space” singer to stay strong amid the new trial in her life. She also expressed her love to Taylor Swift’s mother in her tweet.
How they found out
Although it was a sad news, Taylor Swift made the announcement on her Tumblr page to be able to encourage other people to have their loved ones get checked medically too, reports Yorkregion.com
Taylor Swift recounted that during the recent Holidays, she told her mother that the best gift she could give to her was to go to the doctor to get screened for any health issues. The singer wanted to appease herself about her mom’s health status.
Eventually, Mama Swift agreed and went to see the doctor. There were no red flags indicating of initial negative findings and she also felt good after her check-up even though she just did it to get Taylor and her sibling off her back.
Taylor ended her post by saying that the results came in and she is saddened to tell everyone that her mom has been diagnosed with cancer.
