Nick Cannon has recently come out to publicly debunked speculations that he is writing a tell-all book about his ex-wife Mariah Carey, saying that the rumors are ridiculous.
Rumors have been going around wildly that the 34-year-old “America’s Got Talent” host is planning to write a memoir disclosing all of Mariah Carey’s idiosyncracies. But the actor, host, and singer dismissed the hearsay and officially stated that those are entirely false.
Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey parted ways in August last year after six years of marriage. Mariah subsequently filed the divorce papers but reports have it that she had second thoughts about it after realizing how Nick has become a hands-on father to their three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.
The song diva reportedly wanted Nick Cannon back in her life after filing for divorce but it was the “America’s Got Talent” host who decided that they should go on with the divorce. There were even reports that he also filed the divorce papers in December last year.
Water under the bridge
But all those thoughts of getting back together again are water under the bridge now since the 45-year-old songstress is reportedly dating movie director Brett Ratner and their relationship is getting to the point of serious.
Last month, reports also came out that Mariah and Brett, who celebrated their birthday one day after the other, decided to toast their romance by spending it on a luxury yacht somewhere in the Caribbean.
Even before Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey split, there were rumors of Nick’s womanizing ways. It came to a boil particularly when he got too close with Amber Rose that had Mariah fuming really mad. Nick later on said that his relationship is just business since he is producing Amber Rose’s new music.
Also in February, reports came out that Nick Cannon is dating Nicole Mitchell Murphy, the former wife of Eddie Murphy. But nothing has since came out of the supposed relationship.
Disappointed with the press
In a recent interview with E! Online, Nick Cannon says that he is so disappointed with the media. He said that they could have just called him and asked if it was true or not but instead they just let people believe the story because sensationalism sells rather than the truth.
The problem, he added, with the press is that when there is no drama, they create drama. He said that if people would like to continue to perpetuate negativity, they can always do that. But he said that he is happy now and so is his family. He confirmed that he does not know anything about a tell-all book or anything like that.
During the last Easter holiday, Mariah even shared an image on Instagram showing herself and Nick Cannon with their twins Moroccan and Monroe. He said that it’s what people do, spend time with their families because that’s what holidays are all about. It was a good time and he had fun, Nick said.
