Continuum Season 4: What Will the Final Season of the Show Bring

While we don’t know exactly when the next – and final – season of “Continuum” will be available, the show’s fans have been patiently, yet excitedly waiting for the new episodes to hit the screen. So far, we know that it’s supposed to come out sometimes during 2015, but the exact release date remains a mystery. We also know that the producers are planning to do quite a lot for season 4, as apparently they want to make sure that the show will be remembered.

And they will definitely need to put their creative thinking to good work, as they will have half the time to tell a good story that they usually do – the show’s fourth season will only be six episodes long, instead of twelve, as the producers were unable to secure a full-season contract. This is probably related to the production’s cancellation as well, as apparently it’s already being pushed out the door in order to make way for other shows.

Still, considering that some fans were expecting season 4 to not come at all, even a half season is great news for those who just want to see the story continue for a little bit. It’s one of the few shows that explore the subject of time travel in such depth and detail, and it’s managed to attract many people in a short timespan with its unique story, so hopefully it will at least inspire another production that can remain on the screen for longer.

Ever since the new season was confirmed in December though, we haven’t heard much official information about it. We don’t know any specific plot details, and we also aren’t sure if the producers are planning to leave any cliffhangers or not. It certainly wouldn’t be the first show that ends with open questions, and it could also fit the style of “Continuum” to a large extent, but of course the writers should be careful to avoid leaving fans disappointed that they didn’t get to find out the truth about an important plot detail.

Continuum Season 4

What could be improved in a possible future production to prevent it from getting cancelled like that? Fans have been asking this question quite a bit lately, as there seems to be a lot of interest in seeing another TV show with the same premise eventually. Various things could be attributed to the cancellation of “Continuum”, but the biggest problem was perhaps that it was too niche. Giving it a bit more exposure to a wider audience could probably work wonders to ensure that it won’t get cancelled like that, but on the other hand, that could also take away from the show’s charm.
