While Vin Diesel was giving his very first interview for the day at an event for “Fast & Furious 7”, he took the opportunity to talk about “Guardians of the Galaxy 2”, after a journalist from MTV asked him if he’s planning to expand his role into something else, possibly in “Inhumans”. Diesel took the question in a humorous way, responding that journalists always know how to ask the difficult questions, and that Marvel should take a careful look at the interview.
After the joking moment though, Diesel also said that he actually enjoyed the experience of playing Groot. He had a great time with everyone involved in the project, and he also liked the overall feeling of the Marvel World as well. Apparently, he has good expectations for his future work based on what he’s already done, but he didn’t really give any specific details.
He also said that he’s up for an MTV Movie Award this year, along with Bradley Cooper, and it’s actually an award that he’s already won twice already. In both of those cases, it was along with Paul Walker, for their work in the “Fast & Furious” franchise. Specifically, he won the award in 2002, and then 12 years later in 2014.
In addition, Diesel claimed that James Gunn is quite excited about “Guardians of the Galaxy 2”, and he’s working hard to make the production come true. Diesel himself is excited about his work, and apparently we can expect great things from the film once it hits the screen in 2017. There’s a long time to go until then, and various things could change in the production direction, but hopefully we’ll be kept in the loop.
Diesel and the people he works with certainly enjoy staying in touch with their fan base, and they love giving out the occasional hint about how their work is going. And Vin Diesel, as discreet as he might try to be when publicly asked about the progress of these projects, can usually not hold himself back from giving out some small hints here and there. Of course, his contractual obligations likely prevent him from going into any deeper details.
Is Diesel going to be involved in the “Inhumans” project as well, or is that just baseless speculation right now? It’s hard to tell from his cryptic statements, and there aren’t any other sources that could possibly give us a hint right now, but Diesel has certainly been doing a good job keeping his fans guessing and making sure that everyone is on their toes about his future work. And he certainly has a lot of fans keeping an eye on that too.
