Last week, there have been reports that pop singer Katy Perry has parted ways with on-again, off-again singer-boyfriend John Mayer when she was spotted dating British banjoist Winston Marshall of the Mumford & Sons folk rock band while she was in Germany as part of the European leg of her “Prismatic” world tour.
John Mayer has confirmed the latest separation when he told his close friends that he and Katy Perry are over for good, reports Net.
The two singers have hooked up again after they were spotted at a friend’s dinner party in Los Angeles sometime in January.
Some weeks later, they were again seen enjoying a romantic meal at Sunset Tower Hotel. They were eventually seen driving to Chateau Marmont for a few alcoholic beverages with friends, including Allison Williams.
Those who have seen the pair at the waterhole saw them very comfortable with one another and were even kissing several times. The night was cold that time and the two were holding hands most of the time. When Katy Perry got cold, John pulled her closer to him to keep her warm.
The romance continued after Katy Perry’s superb halftime performance during the Superbowl 2015 on February 1. John went into Katy Perry’s home in Los Angeles to celebrate with her family her remarkable and widely lauded Superbowl 2015 halftime performance. The singer was spotted leaving Katy Perry’s home the following morning.
However, their latest tryst was short-lived as it did not last for three months.
Not in love anymore
John Mayer says that he and Katy have agreed to break up for good because he is no longer in love with the “Roar” singer.
A source close to the friend of the 37-year-old “Your Body is a Wonderland” singer says that he is over Katy for good because he has lost emotional interest to still want to be with the “Firework” singer.
He also averred that Katy Perry being on tour has nothing to do with their mutual decision to break up. They have both decided to give each other space and time.
It was not clear if John Mayer was making the pronouncement because reports came out last week that Katy Perry was already dating Winston Marshall in Berlin, Germany and that he wanted to come clean on their failed relationship yet again.
Katy and Winston have apparently hooked up during the late evening of March 14 while both were in Berlin, Germany where they were seen in a post-performance partying and getting it on.
Katy Perry was in Berlin that night as part of her “Prismatic” world tour where she performed at the vast O2 Arena. Mumford & Sons, on the other hand, was also in the German city for a series of intimate shows where they also performed at the Magnet Club on the evening of March 14th.
A German newspaper actually picked up the report that Perry went into the trendy club Schwuz after her concert where she partied with drag queen Gloria Viagra. The report however did not mention of the presence of the Mumford & Sons on the same club.
