Jennifer Lawrence’s new film, “Serena”, was just shown at a special screening in New York, at the Sunshine Cinema. While the film was obviously the main attraction of the event, many people also noticed Jennifer Lawrence with the unique appearance she made, wearing a sparkling mini-dress that turned heads all over the place.
Accompanying her was fellow star Bradley Cooper, but Jennifer Lawrence was without doubt in the center of the spotlight for the majority of the event. Her dress was designed in black and silver stripes, with no sleeves, and connected to a white skirt with two cross-linked rings. The dress nicely drove attention to Lawrence’s waist, which she has obviously been working on, as she now sports a noticeably improved figure, complete with some extra tanning.
She also had a special haircut, one that gave more focus to her face – and all of that, combined with her stylish sandals, was an obvious recipe for a lot of attention, which is exactly what Lawrence got at the event. Bradley Cooper himself looked quite sharp in his black suit, although obviously he didn’t get as much attention as his fellow starlet.
The two posed for many photos together, and while most photographers tended to focus on Lawrence almost exclusively, Cooper was also captured in a good light plenty of times. Other than the two stars, guests at the event got to see Nicky Hilton in attendance, as well as other celebrities.
“Serena” saw a very successful release last year, depicting North Carolina in the period of the Great Depression, where Lawrence plays the role of a timber baron’s wife, who’s chasing after the woman who has his illegitimate child. Bradley Cooper played the role of the baron himself, and many critics commended the duo for the amazing performance they delivered together. It’s obvious the two actors have a lot of synergy in their work, and it’s great that they’re utilizing it so productively.
Hopefully, we’ll get to see more amazing productions featuring the two starring side by side, but for the time being, we can just enjoy the success of “Serena” and the way it reshaped the world of cinema, at least for a little while. It may not have been the most major release of 2014, but it was still an important name in the world of cinema, and one that deserved all the recognition it got in the end. The United States got a re-release for the movie as well, after it was made available in Europe initially, which further added to its worldwide popularity, reviving online discussions about the film and reigniting interest in it as a whole.
