We’ve known for a while that Harley Quinn will get a major role in the upcoming “Batman: Arkham Knight”, but we didn’t really have any specific details on that. Many fans were interested to find out how prominently she would be featured in the upcoming game, and we just got some official details. Harley will have her own DLC, and we’ll also get to see Scarecrow in the upcoming title as well.
The game, which is the last installment in the current trilogy, is going to give players the opportunity to play as Harley Quinn herself, and go on a rampage through the Blüdhaven Police Department. Harley has a very specific goal in mind as she’s doing that though, as she’s aiming to free Poison Ivy who’s currently being held at the department. The DLC is going to give a deeper look into the mind of Harley Quinn and what motivates her, and of course players are going to get plenty of opportunities to use her baseball bat all over the environment – and their foes.
We’re going to see many plot points being tied up in the new game, as the dramatic developments from the previous two titles will reach their culmination. Scarecrow will be accompanied by various other villains, some quite well-known from previous works in the “Batman” universe, some not so much, as he’s going on his quest against the city.
Among the various villains that Scarecrow will group up with, we’ll see Two-Face, The Penguin, the Riddler, the Arkham Knight, and of course Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. They will try to take down The Dark Knight and take over Gotham City, and whether or not they’ll be successful is in the hands of Batman – and by extension, the player.
So far, the game is shaping up to be an amazing, thrilling experience, and it should be a worthy conclusion to an already iconic franchise. Fans have huge expectations for “Batman: Arkham Knight”, but the developers will surely be able to live up to them. They know what their players want and how their own franchise works, and they have been working hard to make sure that the new installment will please their fans like they have been hoping.
There are few months left to go before “Batman: Arkham Knight” hits the market, so at this point its developers are likely putting the finishing touches on the title. One interesting question that remains is whether they’re going to go with a more unusual marketing strategy, or if they’re just going to rely on the massive hype that’s already been built up about the title. They could realistically just release the game and let its fame do the work.
