“Boom Beach” has been on the market for about two years now, and it’s without doubt one of the most popular games on the iOS platform. It may not be the top title on there, sure, but it’s been making some progress lately and it’s holding up quite well against its competitors.
Lately, the game has also seen an increase in its profits, bringing in more revenue than the previous months. The app has also climbed up in the rankings a bit, going up to spot 7 from the ninth place. It has some serious competition from other titles like “Clash of Clans”, but because “Boom Beach” has its own unique style, it has so far managed to remain popular on its own quite successfully.
Some critics have pointed out something interesting about the current state of the game – even though it’s not in the list of top 10 downloads, it’s still one of the most profitable apps, which should speak volumes about its success with its fans. On the other hand, “Clash of Clans”, which is in the 7th most downloaded spot, actually performs quite well in financial terms, and still leads the market by a large margin.
The most significant change in the revenue charts came from “I am MT 2”, which has gone up quite a bit from its original spot in order to get to the tenth place. Considering that the game isn’t actually a new release, it’s a bit strange to see this kind of change, but there is probably a good explanation for it. The developers could have found a good way to monetize the behavior of their players more efficiently, which likely has something to do with the situation.
Other than that, we don’t see anything out of the ordinary in the charts. “Tricia Crack” continues to be the most downloaded game, followed by “We Fire” and “Candy Crush Soda Saga”. We also have “Crossy Road” remaining popular, and the older “Candy Crush Saga” is right behind it.
There don’t seem to be any interesting releases on the mobile market planned for the next weeks, so it’s hard to say if we’ll see the rankings changing significantly anytime soon. However, the mobile gaming market is quite the dynamic one, with new games showing up and becoming popular all the time, so it’s hard to say what will happen over the next weeks/months.
Meanwhile, “Puzzle & Dragons” remains the biggest challenger to “Clash of Clans” for the #1 spot in the revenue charts, although it doesn’t seem like we’ll see the two changing places soon. Of course, if “Puzzle & Dragons” gets an update that improves its monetization potential, that could change everything.
