The filming for the third installment of Marvel’s Captain America movie franchise officially titled “Captain America: Civil War” is set to begin on April 4.
Disney Pictures has revealed that filming for the movie would take a little over four months as it is expected to wind up on August 8, notes Yahoo! News. “Captain America: Civil War” already has a release date of May 6, 2016.
While there have been previous reports that the plot of the movie will generally revolve around the Superhero Registration Act which shall divide the lines between Steve Rogers a.k.a. Captain America and Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man, among other superheroes, no other detail has been provided particularly on who the ultimate villain of the movie would be among other things.
It is nearly understood by every Marvel fan that the supposed conflict between Captain America and Iron Man in the movie would just be short-lived and the two will eventually find themselves working together for the common good of the people whom they are protecting.
Casting for Southeast Asians
The movie appears to have a bit of a Southeast Asian accent as Disney made a casting call on March 19 for men and women between the ages of 21 to 75 for inclusion in the filming.
The Southeast Asians being required for the film are those coming from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and other countries in the region.
In addition to movie extras, the production team is also hiring experienced film crew and production staff and requested that they send their details for the casting spot.
While this would be an opportunity for Southeast Asians to finally become part of a major Marvel movie, the catch is that filming will not be done in the region or in any other country in the region.
Work in Atlanta
Apparently, filming will be held in Atlanta, Georgia in the US. And as such, given the limited time from now until the start of the filming, it is likely that the production team of “Captain America: Civil War” are looking for those who are legally eligible to work in the state and those who already have their working permits with them.
While the movie is actually making the slots open to Southeast Asians currently based in their home countries, it is almost sure that those who are based in Atlanta or nearby states at the moment will have a great chance to get a shot at Hollywood, even for a fleeting moment.
Southeast Asians who are very much interested and willing to get a chance-of-a-lifetime shot are requested to e-mail their details to sputnikextras@gmail.com and include among others their recent face photo, full-body photo, full photo in ethnic wardrobe, contact details, clothing sizes, and the US city or state where they are currently residing.
