Rockstar Fans Send List of Community Requests for GTA 6 to the Studio!

It will probably be a while before we see any official news concerning “GTA 6”, and it’s clear that Rockstar are currently focusing on the fifth installment in the franchise instead. And yet, this hasn’t stopped fans from speculating about what we might see in the sixth game when it comes out – quite on the contrary, the fact that we know nothing official about the game has been very inspiring to some fans, who see the game as a blank drawing board for their ideas.

Recently, some of those fans have decided to take their creativity to the next level, and help out Rockstar in the process too. A group of “GTA” fans have compiled a list of community requests for the game, and have submitted that list to Rockstar. Of course, whether or not Rockstar will actually take those suggestions into consideration is arguable, but it’s at least an interesting insight into what the game’s community wants to see from the franchise in the future.

Some of the requests actually make a lot of sense, while others are a bit more unusual. It seems that many players would be interested in having a bit more realism, with features such as cars running out of gas and having to be refilled at stations. Another idea suggests random police checks for drivers, and a more vigilant police force in general.

And on the other hand, some players want the game to explore its criminal side more, with advanced gang organization features. Among these ideas is the suggestion to let players hire and manage crew members. This feature is actually not exactly new to the franchise, as it can be traced all the way back to “GTA 2”, although in a much simpler form.

Can we expect to see any of those features in the new game once it has been released? It’s early to say – but some fans have been hopeful that the studio may at least try to implement some of those suggestions in the current “GTA 5” in one of its future updates.

Although, according to most critics, that’s just wishful thinking, as Rockstar have a relatively clear plan for the development of the current title. They are focusing on its multiplayer at the moment, with the “Heists” feature enjoying their full attention. Not many of the suggestions in the fan-made list would make sense if implemented in an online game either, making the possibility even less likely. On the other hand, they could try at least testing one of the features publicly, in order to prepare it better for “GTA 6” when they start working on that game. Which, from the looks of it, will be quite a long time into the future.
