Blackberry is one company that has not been able to find the secret to success in the smartphone market. Just a few years ago, it seemed that it was lost in the dust created by companies like Samsung, Apple, LG and HTC. Then all of a sudden, the name of the company changed, it was split from the main company and a few smartphones with full touch screen displays showed up on the market.

Those smartphones with a full touch screen would be the first ever that did not include the typical QWERTY keyboard that loyal fans loved about the phones over the years. Businesses from all over the world used Blackberry devices for employees and they were made a staple in the business world. With that being said, the company is not just sitting around however, they are still releasing smartphones, like the Blackberry Q20 it released back in December of last year. The one thing that stands out about that device is the fact that is comes with the QWERTY keyboard and other classic functions. The track pad and the function keys that loyal Blackberry fans will remember are back and of course, the critics are being critics about it.

In a smartphone world where they are very few buttons, Blackberry decides it wanted to go back in time to see what they could relive. The press release hit the market like a ton of bricks and many just assumed that the company was ready to commit smartphone suicide, but if you read the release, the company seems excited to bring the classic back. The functions keys that made the return include “Menu”, “Back”, “Send” and “End”. On top of that, the track pad was added for fast, precise navigation, according to the company.
