The most popular music artist of 2014 is loveless at the moment and it’s not because she does not have suitors. Taylor Swift says that love or being on a relationship is not her priority right now.
With her music career going great guns these days, everybody would understand if the “Blank Space” singer focuses on her music and work first rather than maintaining a high-profile relationship, which Taylor Swift says is just too difficult to do.
She was reportedly dating 1975 frontman Matt Healy not too long ago but it appears that the relationship, if ever there was, got nip in the bud sooner than later for whatever reason only Taylor Swift knows at this time.
The last time that “1989” album singer was in a long relationship was back in 2012 when she was still dating Harry Styles of One Direction. It has been so long that many are now thinking that she has no more time for love.
Because of her past relationships, Taylor was able to compose a lot of songs for her record-breaking fifth studio album “1989.”
Single cat lady
Taylor Swift turned 25 on December 13, 1989 and since she has been single for quite some time already, she was recently quoted as saying that she will still be single after five years.
By then she joked that she will be a single cat lady, which means that she will be someone who will be having cats as her companions for life.
When she was asked how she imagines her life when she turns 30, Taylor Swift was candid enough to answer that she will probably be single by then.
She said that her being single is actually the price for her current fame and popularity because no one will sign up to have a happy relationship with her while they are almost always out in the spotlight.
But she said that she still does not know if she ever gets into a relationship soon. Taylor Swift then went back to her previous joke when she said that she’ll just probably end up locked up in her house and surrounded by cats.
Man-hater?
The “Shake it Off” singer says that she is also tired of being branded as someone who likes to write music about man-hating. Taylor Swift says that there have been reports that a lot of her songs are about boy-bashings, which she terms as a sexist way of saying heartbreak songs.
She said that if Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran wrote songs about their exes, current girlfriends, or love life, no one raises a red flag or make a big fuss about it. But when she writes something about her ex-boyfriends or past relationship, it is being called boy-bashing.
That is the reason why Taylor Swift called out her critics last year for saying that she only writes about relationships and she wonders why they don’t say the same things to male musicians who are also expressing the same things in their music.
