Fallout 4: About to Be Announced in June at E3? All Signs Point to Yes

Bethesda are still keeping quiet about “Fallout 4”, even as more and more rumors keep coming out about the game – and from everything we’ve heard so far, it seems like the big announcement is right around the corner, and this will indeed be the year all fans of the series have been waiting for. It’s currently speculated that “Fallout 4” is being prepared for an announcement at E3’s press conference in June.

There have been several signs about the existence of “Fallout 4” so far, but Bethesda have proven pretty much all of them to be false, even though they let one of the hoaxes go on for quite a long time before finally coming clean about it, which led to the disappointment of some fans. There was also a campaign for e-mail sign-ups for the game’s announcement, which in the end turned out to be fake, even though it was quite well crafted and managed to fool many people.

Now, Bethesda have called a press conference at this year’s E3, where they’re expected to announce something big. Realistically, there aren’t that many possibilities about what it could be – other than “Fallout 4”, the company could only really announce “The Elder Scrolls 6”, but there haven’t been any strong indications that this is what they’re preparing.

It’s also somewhat possible that the announcement is actually related to “Doom”, as it’s been rumored that there is some activity on that front lately, but on the other hand, id Software have been quiet, and they’re not a company that typically stays quiet when they have something major coming up. So if the new announcement really is about “Doom”, Bethesda have done an impressive job keeping id quiet all this time.

All signs point to “Fallout 4”, and Bethesda must have definitely noticed the expectations of all of their fans on the Internet until now. If they are preparing anything other than “Fallout 4”, they would have come out and said so until now, as the studio seems to have learned a lesson after the whole fiasco with the “Fallout 4” alternate reality game that turned out to be fake.

Fallout 4

There’s just too much hype going on right now for Bethesda to ignore it, and if their announcement really does turn out to be unrelated to “Fallout 4” this is going to be a huge disappointment to many fans this time. It might even backfire on Bethesda and drive down the popularity of whatever product they end up announcing instead of “Fallout 4”, so the company should tread very carefully and make sure that they prepare their fans for whatever they’re about to say accordingly.

  1. I kind of disagree. I want The Elder Scrolls 6, NOT Fallout 4.

I and many TES fans will be disappointed if we don’t get to play a new in that series next year.

Although F4 deserves a sequel too and soon, that’s just for those fans who are outnumbered by TES fans. Fallout 3 had awful graphics, was boring and had no challenge.

The exact opposite can be said for Oblivion and Skyrim.
