Clash of Clans Update Introduces Balancing Changes, Free Leaving of Clan Wars!

The new update for “Clash of Clans” will introduce several interesting changes to the game, including the ability for players to gain experience from Clan Wars, and subsequently level up their characters there. There will also be special perks for Clan Wars, and obstacles won’t block troop deployment, while air traps will not be activated by healers.

It’s also been announced that players can now freely leave Clan Wars that they’ve joined, and will receive refunds and updates on the troops they’ve donated. There will also be a choice given to Clan Leaders, letting them pick who they want to be joined by in Clan Wars.

There will also be the possibility to choose between big and small wars, but of course, big wars will give much more Clan XP to those who take part in them, giving a bigger incentive for Clan Leaders to actively select them. Customizing a Clan will now be an even more fun experience with the addition of the Clan Badge Editor, which allows players to craft a special Clan Badge with custom colors, pattern, background and border. The badge can be “upgraded” by leveling up the player’s Clan, which unlocks special new borders.

The Cannon’s level 13 is quite the spectacle, according to the update’s patch notes, and players have been excited to try it out already. That’s just one of the balancing changes that are coming with this update, along with the other details we mentioned above about troop deployment and air traps.

Leveling up in Clan Wars can be done in three main ways – first, it’s possible to get Clan XP by defeating enemy War Bases, but that doesn’t grant too much. If a player gets enough stars during a war, this will also give them XP, and in larger quantities too – and of course, winning the war is the most reliable way to level up fast, as it grants large amounts of XP. There’s a big incentive for players to play smart now, and approach Clan Wars with a little more care, so this should make the future of the game quite interesting.

Clash of Clans

“Clash of Clans” has already been enjoying a lot of popularity and strong support from its community, so it’s good to see that its developers are responding with active updates and constant fine-tuning to the game’s balance. It’s still not perfect, but it’s getting there – and it’s completely normal for a multiplayer game to require multiple balance patches to bring it to a good condition as well. Especially if the developer also wants to introduce new elements to the game, such as new units or abilities that can upset the balance.
