Russian-German DJ Zedd reveals that he and Selena Gomez actually met for the first time in a restroom. Now that’s an original chance encounter, to say the least.
The DJ was apparently in search for the closest restroom as he just moved on to his house with hardly anything yet on it. He was instructed by his engineer to just proceed to the studio across the street and he did.
It turns out that Selena Gomez was also at the studio at that time. He was eventually introduced to the “Undercover” singer by John, who is also the head of Zedd’s label, details Yahoo! Celebrity.
Zedd says that she found Selena very cool right at that very instant, despite the call of nature nagging him and he remembered saying to her that they should make a song together sometime. The rest was history.
One week after their chance restroom encounter, Zedd and Selena were working on a song together. That song, which was released very recently, is titled “I Want You to Know.”
More than collaborators
From merely being collaborating artists in a song, Zedd and Selena Gomez have since hit it off well and are now reportedly dating each other.
During their chance encounter, Selena was also still reeling from heartbreak, after splitting with on-again, off-again long-time boyfriend Justin Bieber.
Zedd apparently came just about the right time like a knight in shining armor saving a princess in distress and eventually sweeping her off her feet.
While the two have yet to make an official statement to confirm or deny their rumored relationship, actions speak louder than words and their sweetness with one another cannot just be denied or hidden anymore.
Zedd also disclosed that they are now working on the music video of the “I Want You to Know” single that he and Selena has released. He confirmed that he will be in the music video and that it will be coming out very soon.
However, he refuses to divulge the plot of the music video because they want it to be a surprise.
Chance encounter
Zedd spoke about his first-time meeting and chance encounter with Selena Gomez during a radio interview with host Booker on the AMP Radio’s morning show in Los Angeles.
He explained that the meeting was as random as it could get. The DJ said that he had the day off then so he decided to buy some things for his house where he just moved in. When he was already in his house, he felt the urge to take a leak but his house does not have a working toilet yet.
Zedd came with his engineer to his house, who then told him that there is a studio across the street and he was positive that the studio had a restroom on it. So he did. And that’s when his love life and career started taking that turn for the better.
