For her kind of hectic filming schedule, it is very seldom to see “The Hunger Games” actress Jennifer Lawrence on social media. And if it happens that she goes out of social media to say her piece of mind, it is usually something important.
The last time that the Oscar winner came out of social media was late last year after that infamous celebrity nude pictures scandal that rocked the internet where she openly criticized the perpetrators as she was a victim of the hacking then.
On February 27, J-Law posted on her Facebook account denying rumors that she had a huge on-set fight with director David O. Russell as they were filming “Joy” in Boston, details MSN News.
There were reports that a spat between the 24-year-old actress and the 56-year-old director happened on the set of “Joy” that had the two reportedly screaming at each other.
It was a bit of surprise to learn that a huge fight erupted between Lawrence and Russell since “Joy” is their third collaboration together, having successfully worked together in films “Silver Linings Playbook” and “American Hustle” in the past.
Clearing things up
In her Facebook post, Jennifer Lawrence explained that she don’t do social media or Facebook a lot because she can hardly open her e-mail. But she says that she needed to come out because of the terrible rumor going around which she wanted to clear up, cites Yahoo! Celebrity.
J-Law explained that David O. Russell is one of her closest friends and that the two of them have amazing collaborative working relationship.
She said that she adore the man and does not deserve the tabloid malarkey. Jennifer said that the movie, referring to “Joy,” is doing great and that she’s having a blast making it.
A loud argument
Reports of a loud argument between Lawrence and Russell on the set of “Joy” supposedly happened during filming on February 24 in Boston. There was also a report that Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein was also involved in the fight. The rumors came out on the internet the following day.
A representative of the film’s studio, Fox 2000, denied the rumors, explaining that the screaming going down on the set is actually part of a scene for the movie.
Apparently, Director Russell is just psyching and preparing Lawrence up for a scene in order to draw the proper emotions from the actress.
It seems that the move of the director was mistaken for a huge fight after a production insider relayed it outside where the story got a new angle altogether and turned into a full-blown and terrible rumor, as Lawrence describes it.
With her Facebook post, it seems that J-Law pretty much confirmed the statement made by the representative of Fox 2000. Director Russell has yet to come out with his official statement regarding the supposed huge fight on the set of “Joy.”
