There were some strong rumors going around that the 2016 Ford Bronco would be shown at the Detroit Auto Show, and many fans of the iconic truck were eagerly anticipating the reveal. In the end though, it didn’t happen – and so far, we don’t know when Ford are planning to officially showcase the new truck by their own means.
On the other hand, they are rumored to have secured a contract for the vehicle to appear in “Jurassic World”, the long-awaited sequel to the iconic dinosaur film franchise. This is not confirmed so far, and Ford haven’t made a comment on the situation, but there have been lots of discussions at various online messaging boards, particularly IMDB. Film fans have been eager to find out as many details about the new film as possible, and the list of vehicles has been one of the main discussed factors.
There has been one confirmation in this regard from the producers of the film however, as they have announced that a new Mercedes SUV will be featured in the upcoming film. In the last film in the series, we got to see the Ford Explorer, so it’s possible that the 2016 Bronco is it’s “successor” in the franchise. It would certainly be a nice treat for Ford fans, although neither the auto company, nor the producers of the film have confirmed nor denied those particular rumors so far.
If the rumors are true, it could be great advertisement for the new truck as well, as “Jurassic World” is expected to enjoy quite the strong reception and popularity. It’s been over a decade since the last film in the franchise, and fans have been asking for a sequel for a long time now – so it’s no wonder that the development of “Jurassic World” is being watched so closely.
So far, there have been various concepts for the new truck, but no official information. One of the most interesting moves for Ford would be to actually reveal the truck in the new movie, which would be the perfect advertisement for it, although it would also be a very risky move. If they do it and it works out for them though, it could easily shoot the new Bronco into the sky in terms of popularity, and give the brand back its glory.
We’ll just have to wait and see if Ford really are preparing a new Bronco behind the scenes. There are lots of rumors about it so far, but nothing concrete has been released by the company, though they haven’t been that active in denying rumors either, which has been giving some fans hope.
