Toyota have made another strong release in the midsized sedan market, and the 2015 Toyota Camry XSE was already enjoying a lot of anticipation and active discussions before it was even released – and now that we’ve officially seen it, it’s clear that Toyota have another winner on their hands. The Camry used to be a relatively unpopular name, at least as far as previous installments in the line are concerned – many people had issues with the way the car looked in particular.
That’s all changed for the new 2015 edition however, as Toyota have obviously been paying attention to those sentiments, and have put a lot more effort into the car’s visual design. It seems their work has paid off as well, as most comments about the new look of the Camry have been very positive. Even though Toyota have ditched the minimalist approach that attracted some people to the car in the past, this seems to be for the better, as there is a lot more positivism about the new release compared to previous ones.
Toyota are also offering good engine options for the new 2015 Camry XSE, including a V6 engine delivering 268 horsepower; the other version features a 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine outputting 178 horsepower. Buyers will also get LED headlights, a premium audio system, as well as a navigation panel with a very smooth and intuitive interface, all presented on a 7-inch touchscreen display. The car even supports Qi wireless charging, a feature that’s starting to become increasingly popular among manufacturers of smartphones, so it’s no wonder that it’s starting to show up so commonly around cars too.
And even though it’s not a dedicated sports car, the new 2015 Toyota Camry XSE actually has some features similar to sports cars, including a console gear shifter and paddle shifter, both linked directly to the six-speed automatic transmission.
Another feature of the new Camry XSE that’s been getting a lot of (well-deserved) attention is the car’s fuel efficiency, with a 25 mpg rating for city driving, and 35 mpg on the highway. While some modern models are able to beat this offer, Toyota are still giving economically-minded buyers a good reason to invest in the new Camry XSE.
Is it going to break new grounds in the market? Probably not. But the new 2015 Toyota Camry XSE is definitely going to make a name for itself very soon, as the model offers plenty of good features that should attract a wide range of buyers. At the price Toyota are asking for it, there are few better offers on the market right now, so the company has definitely managed to release something interesting.
