Forever Season 1, Episode 3, titled The Fountain of Youth, witnesses Jo and Henry investigating a series of deaths caused by an anti-aging solution. In Episode 2, we see Henry pegging a case as Homicide whereas the Police had termed it a suicide, and he took Jo on a wild hunt for gathering proof.
Henry’s anonymous caller rings him up again, suggesting that he was being tracked for a long time. The caller’s identity however could be unraveled soon as Henry has got a few potential leads into the caller’s id thanks to a letter on antique stationary.
In Episode 3 Henry tries to crack open the mystery of how the aged and wealthy people of the town are reversing the clock. A pricey health potion called Aeterna, is the most sought after beauty product in town, up until it causes a series of mysterious deaths that Henry is in charge of solving, along with Jo.
The product that is turning old people young is also turning their brain into a pulp. Considering that the show’s protagonist is immortal, we did not think it was strange at first or that it would lead to sudden deaths.
Meanwhile, Henry is still looking for ways to die, and he might have found out a way to carry it out successfully. Abe, on the other hand, does not understand why Henry would like to give up on eternal youth. Henry clarifies that he does not want to die. He just wants to grow old.
In another part of town, an old man is attacked by a thief at night, who tries to steal his briefcase. The old man is beaten up and left to die on the streets. When his body winds up at the morgue, Henry is shocked to find out that the 67-year-old man had the body of a 30-year-old.
