A sharper-looking and tempered 2015 Toyota Auris will be debuting in the Geneva Motor Show to be held in March.
Apart from bringing a new face and a more freshened look, the 2015 Toyota Auris hatchback will also be ushering updated engines as part of its overall facelift.
The British-manufactured 2015 Toyota Auris will also be softer in design compared to the more bold and daring looks of the Toyota Aygo and the Toyota Yaris, notes iOL Motoring.
The 2015 Toyota Auris’ sharper look is indicative of the evolution of the vehicle that seeks to add presence and prestige to the overall aura of the car. It is more laid back when compared to the X-shaped frontal features of the Aygo and the Yaris.
Less comprehensive restyle
The Auris is not the latest Toyota vehicle to have undergone a major facelift as it merely took on the recent footsteps of the Toyota Avensis, which shall also be featured during the Geneva Motor Show next month, cites Autocar.
Compared to the larger Avensis, the Auris features a slightly less comprehensive restyle but its front end got a major update, particular its new grille, redesigned headlights, and a reshaped lower bumper.
The designers have also made some refinements to the dashboard which now features a completely redesigned central section and instrument cluster.
The Japanese carmaker has likewise revealed latest images of the front of the 2015 Toyota Auris but it has yet to show the rear part, although it is likely to come with new lights and tweaked design. The interior cabin shall also sport a new look.
Other features
The 2015 Toyota Auris shall also feature new comfort and safety equipment, as well as new and improved gasoline and diesel engines. The company has yet to fully disclose all the details of the hatchback and would just surprise the audience during the Geneva Motor Show slated next month.
The hatchback may likely come with a 1.6-liter BMW diesel engine that is currently being used by the Toyota Verso and is expected to be adopted as well by the new Toyota Avensis.
The 2015 Toyota Auris is ideal for the European market given the Europeans’ preferences for the hatchback.
Toyota shall maintain the hybrid powertrain feature of the vehicle as it actually accounted for around 50% of all European Auris sales in 2014.
With less than a month to go before the 2015 Toyota Auris debuts in the Geneva Motor Show, the major facelift on the vehicle actually applies to the hatchback and estate versions of the model.
The Japanese carmaker has disclosed very little information about the 2015 Toyota Auris with the exception of the images of the vehicle, preferring instead to unveil all the features during its launching at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
