As the alleged release of the iPhone 7 approaches, speculations about the device keep growing. People keep putting forward new and crazier theories, and while some of the rumors about the device sound at least somewhat plausible, others are quite crazy. One thing seems to be clear in the whole mess though – people apparently want a more serious change from Apple this time.
The company made its name for innovating so actively, and refusing to stick with the common trends on the smartphone market. The original iPhone was a very creatively designed device, and it managed to fill a market niche and expand it into something truly popular. Now, Apple have slowed down their innovations a little bit, and have focused more on refining the experience.
But it seems like people want something a little more interesting from the iPhone 7, which is expected to come out on September 9, if rumors are true. Of course, this is just speculation right now, and it would be surprising if somebody has actually managed to reveal Apple’s release date in advance, as the company is typically very secretive about their upcoming releases, and they’re careful to avoid letting such details slip.
One of the features that customers seem to be most interested in seeing revised is the display of the phone. Apple haven’t done much with this part of the device recently, while other manufacturers have been pulling ahead quite successfully. The iPhone 7 should at least increase the resolution a little bit, as the picture quality is already good enough in the iPhone 6, according to most users.
Another area where the iPhone could use an improvement is the battery life, something which users were already expecting to be improved in the iPhone 6. Even though the device can last an adequate length of time on a full charge, the performance of its battery is still something that could be addressed with more focus by Apple. There have been rumors that this is already happening, but we have no solid confirmation from Apple so far, which is normal for them – the company isn’t fond of releasing small chunks of information like that, rather preferring to focus on one major announcement.
Wireless charging is also becoming more and more prominent in the devices of other manufacturers, yet Apple are still to join the trend. That could change with the iPhone 7, and judging by the attention some people have been paying to this specific feature, Apple would be wise to invest in it for the new device. It might seem like a niche at the moment, but wireless chargers are getting more and more popular, and many users have one now – while at the same time, the feature is becoming pretty much standard for handhelds coming out today.
