Even though many people would readily claim that they would switch places with their favorite celebrities in an instant if they were given the chance, it sometimes turns out that the life of fame and fortune is not all that it seems to be from the outside. We often hear famous people complaining about their lives in certain regards, but we rarely pay attention to that – but sometimes it’s good to stop and listen, because it doesn’t take long to see that fame can bring about some very real problems.
And yet, while some celebrities tend to speak about their problems very publicly and try to draw their fans into their situation, others have a more light-hearted view on these things and even joke around about the topic. Case in point, Luke Hemmings of 5 Seconds of Summer was recently talking about his fear of being attacked.
While it sounded like a genuine confession at first, and it seemed to be leading to something deeper, that was not actually the case – as Luke revealed, his fear is of “being attacked by an angry banana”. As silly as the statement may be, it quickly spread through the Internet and is currently being repeated by Luke’s fans all over discussion boards.
Moving on in the interview, Luke Hemmings was also asked about what the band does behind the stage, and if they have too many special requests towards their organizers when traveling outside of their native country. He responded that him and his bandmates all love vegemite, so they try to keep some with them wherever they go, and the band’s managers even managed to supply them with the product in countries where it’s normally not available, such as the UK.
Many of Luke’s fans have been asking about how they can get noticed by the band more easily. This is of course common when it comes to celebrities that tend to enjoy large crowds at their concerts, and while most tend to dismiss the question, Luke Hemmings actually gave his fans some tips.
According to him, he enjoys seeing a big funny sign in the crowd, and it’s something that immediately gets his attention. So it seems that those who want to get noticed by 5 Seconds of Summer at their concerts – or at least by Luke Hemmings himself – should make sure to prepare an interesting, large sign and put it up as high as they can when they arrive at the show. For what it’s worth, Luke seems to be quite modest in his requests both behind the stage as well as on it, and this is part of the reason why his fans adore him so much.
