Ever since the third installment to the Iron Man series was over, fans have been speculating as to whether or not they will be seeing a fourth Iron Man movie. At first the rumors were surrounding the fact that we would likely see the Iron Man character in the next Avengers movie, but the attention has now shifted. According to one online source, it was just one month ago that Robert Downey Jr. said there would not be an Iron Man 4.
This week, that does not seem to be the same rumor that many were reading at that time. In fact, during an interview the Iron Man star could have just revealed that Iron Man 4 is in the works. Most of the fans were happy knowing that they were not going to see an Iron Man 4 and that their favorite character was going to be in the latest Avengers movie. Now that the focus has shifted, those same fans are jumping on the Iron Man 4 bandwagon.
The rumor ended with the fact that there could be a fourth movie, but that Robert Downey Jr. was not going to be in it. At this time there is no confirmation that a fourth movie is coming out, but a few online sources have been claiming that Downey is coming back as Iron Man in a fourth movie and will be battling against an old nemesis as well.
Marvel fans have realized that it is time to be fine with a new superhero movie each year and because of that, the rumors are going to be flying around as well. Downey revealed during an interview that there will be plenty of Marvel movies and that he was in negotiations. Fans can take that however they want, but it sure sounds like he was hinting at a comeback and a possible Iron Man 4. Shortly after the interview started, he was asked if he would be appearing in a fourth movie and Downey reportedly said, “Okay. Yes!”
Another actor that would like to see the Iron Man 4 movie get the green light is Jeff Bridges. The Iron Monger is the role that Bridges played in the third Iron Man movie and even though he did not make it through the entire movie back in 2008, Bridges is saying that the Iron Monger was meant to survive. In the movie the Iron Monger was thrown into a vat of acid or something and when his costume was pulled from it, he was not inside of it any longer leaving the story line wide open.
