Nick Cannon, the former husband of singing diva Mariah Carey, and Nicole Murphy, the former wife of comedy actor Eddie Murphy, have been spotted dating on Valentine’s Day.
The pair was reportedly seen enjoying a Valetine’s Day dinner at Tavern on the Green while being cozy with one another.
Several days before Valentine’s Day, they were also seen having a meal together at the upscale restaurant Bagatelle in New York City’s Meatpacking District, details Yahoo! News.
Coming in late
Nick and Nicole apparently checked in late at Tavern on the Green on Valentine’s night when most of the other diners were already gone to avoid being conspicuous to the public.
An eyewitness who was at the restaurant when the pair came in recounted that Nick and Nicole arrived at 11 pm. While they were having their meal, the two were said to be holding hands across the table and were gazing at each other like star-crossed lovers, added the same eyewitness.
Tavern on the Green has been an iconic restaurant in Central Perk because of its incredibly romantic setting and ambience.
The source added that Nick and Nicole were so engrossed gazing and talking to each other that the “America’s Got Talent” host actually did not notice when a song by his estranged wife Mariah Carey was played in the background.
The two were so enamoured with each other that they actually did not notice or paid no attention to the song or the background music. The source noted that Nick and Nicole seem very happy together.
Prefers mature women
With Nicole Murphy as the new apple of his eyes, Nick Cannon seems to be showing her preference for older woman. The 34-year-old actor and host broke up with Mariah Carey in August last year after six years of marriage.
He also reportedly filed for divorce in December despite reported attempts of 44-year-old Mariah to woo him back again. Mariah and Nick had three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe during their six-year marriage.
Nicole, on the other hand, has been married to comedian Eddie Murphy for 13 years from 1993 to 2006 and they had five children together.
After divorcing with Murphy, 47-year-old Nicole also got engaged to NFL player-turned-talk show host Michael Strahan for five years. She also split with the “Live with Kelly and Michael” host in August of last year.
Prior to being seen dating Cannon, Nicole has told the press in the first week of February that she is having fun being single at the moment. She says that she is not dating anyone special but she does love being in a relationship.
Nicole also stated that she is enjoying her love life at the moment, which seems to contradict her statement that she is not seeing anyone special.
