Halo 5 Guardians has been going through the tough beta stages recently and even though the developers are getting very good feedback from the testing, gamers all over the world want to know when it will be over. The release date for the game and some of the features that players can expect have been noted according to online sources this week. The changes that 343 Industries are planning for the game have also been talked about in a bunch of video interviews posted on YouTube.
Halo 5 Guardians Multiplayer Beta has revealed some very interesting statistics according to 343 Industries. When the full game is available to players, they will see what has been changed at that time, but for now you can see the information posted online. According to online sources, the beta version of the game saw more than 20 million matches played by more than 1 million players. The test version of the game also recorded more than 180 million Spartan deaths.
Other stats that came a long with the beta testing included what the most used weapon was in the game. For those of you that have played any of the Halo games in the past, you might have a good idea. According to the beta version, the sniper rifle was used in more than 6 million deaths and was the most popular weapon during the beta version. By putting Halo 5 through the battle of beta testing, it was clear what the developers had to improve before the game went live worldwide.
Some of those improvements include increasing the base speed, increase strafe acceleration, reduce top sprint speed, modify ground pound controls to prevent issues with crouch jumping and a general overall tune up of the Spartan abilities. Improvements are coming to weapons like the sniper rifle, competitive skill rating changes like improved skill matching and prevent skill boosting, plus bug fixes to the ratings.
Enhancements to the matchmaking is also in the works for the final version. Changes to bring faster matches, better skill matching, better feedback, allowing players to set desired data for matchmaking, improved party matchmaking, hide CSR ranks until in game to reduce quitting and the an added CSR rating punishment to those that do quit a match. To go along with the punishment for quitting, the developers are going to add matchmaking bans as well, which will presumably be for those that are quitting matches all day to find the most desirable one to play.
