Fans of the Minecraft series on the Xbox twins are in for a treat this Christmas, as 4J Studios has released a very special Christmas theme for the gamers this Festive Season. The gamers received the upgrade – termed the Festive Mash-up Pack – this Wednesday, Microsoft’s gaming portal – Xbox Wire – reported.
Like the other previously released special themes, this DLC allows gamers unique personalization options that are bound to enhance the general appearance of the game. Mash-up packs have been unveiled in the past too for numerous popular titles such as the Mass Effect Franchise and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
The Mash-up pack for Minecraft this time aims at enhancing the general layout of the game. The Christmas mood has been captivated perfectly in-game and apart from modifying the existing characters to suit the theme, the developers have chosen to include a few original textures.
The Minecraft Mash-up pack introduces 36 new character textures in total that include complete personalization capability, as well as special characters in Christmas wear. Gamers can choose to dress up their characters like Santa Claus or the elves. The enemies have received a facelift too! Apart from the characters, numerous texture additions have been made to the general block-laden background too!
Don’t be surprised if you get to see decorated Christmas trees in the middle of a random location after installing this DLC. We have no news on whether the makers plan on introducing the DLC to the PS cousins, including the PlayStation 3, 4 and Vita. Minecraft released on the Xbox and PS platforms simultaneously, and it is unfair if the PS gamers do not get a slice of the huge pie!
4J Studios have surprised the fans two times in a row with their Minecraft update. The developers had introduced 55 new character textures for Star Wars late last month, which has got the fans all fired up and now we have the same for Minecraft! 4J Studios has earned a loyal fan following thanks to this venture.
The Mash-up Pack is probably one of the best additions made to the game ever since the developers allowed players to transfer their old save-game data from the old consoles to the new ones. The DLC is priced at $3 for the Xbox twins, although, the prices for any other next-gen platform is yet to be announced!
If you are a die-hard gamer and want to get the Christmas feel from the comfort of your couch, the Minecraft Mash-up Pack is just what you need.
