More than six months after the re-release of “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” on the Xbox One in November last year, lingering stability issues have hounded the video game collection that developer 343 Industries is still in quandary as of this time as it continues to find ways on how to solve the nagging problems.
Despite releasing patches since rolling out the game in November last year to address the bugs and problems, game-breaking issues still persist up to this day.
In fact, it was because of the connectivity issues that has hounded “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” that 343 Industries was forced to shut down its first official tournament late in April, cites Forbes.
While many of the gamers still could not believe that the Halo eSports league HCS still exists, the game developer was still running the tournament, which had two brackets – one for veteran gamers and the other one for novice players.
But due to a host of connection issues and party joinability problems, the developer was left with no choice but to scrap the entire weekend event.
The cancellation actually came amid the recent release of 343 Industries of another patch for the game which was meant to address its stability among other lingering issues.
Forbes even describes the disappointment that 343 Industries had with “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” as not just dropping the ball but throwing the ball down the well so dark that it’s still falling up to this day.
It does not need a genius to figure out that the reason for the problems on “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” was the complexities in matchmaking as a result of the combination of many games and the different types of playlists.
Making up for it
In order to arrest its falling reputation among gamers, 343 Industries is said to be working on re-launching the “Halo 3: Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST)” as an apology to fans for the legions of problems caused by “Halo: The Master Chief Collection.”
The re-released would have happened by now but 343 Industries really had its hands full with fixing the mysterious technical problems that have hounded “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” losing its focus on its attempted make-up project.
The problems that are being experienced by gamers on “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” has also raised alarm bells on fans regarding the upcoming “Halo 5: Guardians” which 343 Industries will be rolling out later in the year.
Assuring gamers
The developer subsequently assured gamers that the upcoming game would not experience the same issues that have hounded “Halo: The Master Chief Collection.”
Frank O’Connor, franchise development director of 343 Industries, explained that the overall endeavour of bringing “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” has been troublesome from the get-go.

Halo 5 beta just had other problems… like 15 minute wait times for matchmaking, random disconnects, and fill failures loading. I know it was just a beta, but some of these are the exact same problems Halo TMCC have had. I really hope they fix them, but I don’t be preordering any games ever again after the quality of the last few I’ve received.
343 should of clearly been “Less” generous in giving all those games plus the TV series for the price of ONE game and just launched the remakes separately.
Halo 5 is a single game and nothing whatsoever to do with this collection.
