Many fans of Mitsubishi are patiently waiting for the company to bring the 2017 Mirage to the market, and even though some were disappointed that the company decided to jump over 2016 with their releases, people are still happy that a lot of effort is being put into developing this model. It’s quite clear that Mitsubishi are highly invested in the new Mirage, and the company has been putting a lot of work into the car, to the point where it’s expected to be one of the hottest releases of 2017, even though that’s still a long time away.
A lot has changed in this model and Mitsubishi seem to be taking a somewhat different approach now, as they’ve redone the exterior of the car and they’ve also made it more stylish, while also bringing it a bit closer to the common trends in terms of its visual design. This has been met mostly positively by fans, but some felt a little disappointed by the fact that the Mirage is seemingly losing some of its uniqueness and the strong appeal that the car’s charm gave it.
But still, we should wait and see it when it’s actually out on the market, as it’s possible that the final product will still live up to fans’ expectations and give them something to drool over. Mitsubishi know how to navigate their areas of the market very effectively, and if they’ve come up with this design for a 2017 model then they must obviously have some concrete ideas for it in mind, and they must be predicting a certain shift in attitude on the market by then.
According to Mitsubishi themselves, a major motivator in the redesign of the car has been the desire to make it perform better and handle more adequately on the road. The new shape of the model apparently adds a lot to the car’s aerodynamics and reduces the overall drag coefficient, among other things. If this turns out to be true, then this model could easily outperform many other cars in its class while at the same time stealing the show with its appearance. It could be an interesting combination that could end up a winning move for Mitsubishi if they play their cards right.
Other than that, the company has also made some cosmetic changes in the model that are aimed at specific markets, so we will likely see some differences between the variants of the 2017 Mirage. In the end, as we said above, Mitsubishi know how to navigate their respective markets very well and they know how to give each group of their fans something unique that they would personally enjoy.
It’s also interesting to note that the car now manages to get a much better power output without having actually replaced its engine, which should speak a lot for the level of engineering that went into it. It could turn out to be true that the car will come with extra aerodynamic performance thanks to the changes to its design, but we’ll have to wait and see.
We still don’t know the efficiency ratings for the model, after all, and it could turn out to be that they are not as great as people expected. On the other hand, there might be some surprises in this department too, and we don’t actually know what Mitsubishi are planning, but we are sure that they are paying close attention to the market and people’s responses to such claims right now.
