The luxury sedan also sports new and innovative safety features. These features include systems to protect an occupant’s ears and hearing during a crash, steering assistance to avoid an obstacle or accident, and safety protection that pushes the driver and front-seat passenger away from the doors during a side impact.
Mercedes-Benz will reportedly introduce the latest version of its Intelligent Drive technology in the 2017 E-Class sedan, which is another step towards the direction of autonomous driving.
In addition to the cool remote parking system, the technology also features Speed Limit Pilot, Evasive Steering Assist, Digital Car Key, and the ability to automatically maintain a safe distance from the vehicles in front, provide steering assistance around bends, and even brake when using the Distance Pilot Distronic system at speeds up to 124 miles per hour.
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been undergoing test runs as of late and many spy shots have come out of it on the road. There are also snapshots of the luxury sedan without disguise and those have become the subject of scrutiny by car experts.
The 2017 E-Class has two character lines that most Mercedes-Benz models have. However, unlike the character lines on the W222 S-Class where they flow closer to each other as they travel towards the boot, in the E-Class, there is one very strong line at the top that cuts the body through the door handles and a second less important line at the bottom.
