2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Breaks the Boundaries of Self-Driving Technology While Remaining a Benchmark among Luxury Cars!

What looks rather interesting is the fact that all the three prototypes of the E-Class Coupe were following the Porsche 911, which happens to be the benchmark for premium sports cars even before there was an E-Class.

From the spy shots of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe over at Stuttgart, Germany, it appears that it shall be based on the German carmaker’s MRA rear-wheel-drive modular platform which shall help increase interior room and trunk room.

The trunk will still be extremely compact on the cabriolet model while the standard hard-top version will certainly benefit from the increased trunk space.

The use of the MRA chassis architecture means that the E-Class Coupe shall not have B-pillars to give it a style reminiscent of the CL-Class.

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Couple shall be offered with a selection of inline six-cylinders and four-cylinders turbo engines that shall be available for both gasoline and diesel options.

There shall also be an AMG model to be powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine developing around 600 horsepower. There are also hybrid options that shall be made available in certain markets.

The E-Class Couple will have the same technological-savvy interiors typical with Mercedes-Benz luxury sedans. Reports have it that the vehicle shall be released in the early part of 2017.
