In a report by 9To5Mac, the same infotainment system is present in other vehicles manufactured by the auto giant. Some of the cars on the list to be bestowed with such infotainment system are Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger and the Chrysler 300. The company has now, absorbed it into its line of Jeep, especially into its upcoming Compass version.
Although according to rumors Apple hasn’t updated its list of compatible vehicles.
This will give the owners an opportunity to choose from the centrally located console, touchscreen displays ranging from 5.0, 7.0 to 8.4-inch.Even the driver’s instrument collection also contains a driver information display (DID) which is of 3.5 or 7-inch and LED. Its steering wheel comes with combined voice, audio, and cruise control switches, which helps in keeping the driver’s attention on the road before him.
The 4×2 variety of the next generation SUV makes its appearance with a 2.0-liter DOHC 16V engine that generates up to 158 horsepower and 141 pound-foot of torque. It also comes with a 5-speed manual or the CVT2 automatic transmissions. The fuel budget is valued at 30 mpg on the road.
While the 4×4 version, according to Christiantoday, will have 2.4-liter DOHC I4 World Engine that generates an extreme 172 horsepower and capable of 165 pound-foot of torque. It is valued to deliver up to 25 mpg on the road when it is combined with the 6-speed automatic transmission.
