The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace is the first official foray of the British luxury carmaker into the luxury crossover segment.
The small SUV is based on the same architecture as the XF and F-Type and it competes head-on with the likes of the Lexus RX, the Porsche Macan, and the BMW X5.
Based on the recent reviews of enthusiasts who have had the opportunity to test-drive the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace recently, the SUV is really a worthy contender in the ultra-competitive crossover segment not only in the US but in most parts of the world, reports TFLCar.com.
The credentials of the 2017 F-Pace goes all the way under its hood. It has a model that features a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine which exudes 340 horsepower.
While such engine is shared among the entire Jaguar/Land Rover range, the rest of the car is all Jaguar, sharing nothing with any Land Rover SUV before it despite appealing to the same market.
The 2017 F-Pace is also made up of 81% aluminum which is why the SUV is very light in weight. The vehicle’s all-wheel-drive system sends about 90% of the torque to the rear while the rear-wheel-drive bias means that the 2017 F-Pace can be drifted.
Substantially less expensive
The SUV shall be retailed starting at $41,000 all the way to $56,000 for the Sports edition. The 20d base model featuring a 2.0-liter diesel four rated at 180 horsepower is to be priced at $40,990. The gasoline-powered version starts at $42,390, notes Carscoops.
The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace is substantially less expensive than the other new luxury performance crossover coming from other European automakers, Germans mostly, that have never delved into the territory before.
In addition to its pricing range for the 2017 F-Pace, Jaguar has also revealed pricing for the all-new XE sedan which starts at $34,900 and can go all the way up to $41,900, which is actually the cheapest Jaguar that a consumer can get his hands on these days.
The mid-range XF sedan introduced last year has a diesel engine option with a price point of about $47,450.
Jaguar also priced its luxurious F-Type range, with the new SVR model commanding a lofty $125,950 retail price, which is $20,000 more than the F-Type R that is 25 fewer horsepower.
Great responsive capabilities
The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace shall be hitting the Canadian market in a couple of weeks’ time and this early, Budds’ Jaguar, a family owned car retailing business based in Southern Ontario, is already excited to be able to add to its roster of imported cars the first SUV from the British luxury carmaker.
Budds has all the right reason to be excited for carrying the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace line because it is a vehicle with responsive capabilities while also exuding the classic elegance and refined luxury that the British automaker has been known for in the international motoring industry.
The 2017 F-Pace is an agile vehicle just like many Jaguar cars before it. With the addition of a fifth mounting point for the steering rack and the increase in the rotational stiffness of the subframe-to-body connections, the engineering produces a very agile vehicle.
The SUV features a torque-on-demand all-wheel-drive system, which is further enhanced by the Jaguar Adaptive Surface Response (AdSR) technology. This feature allows the vehicle to automatically adapt according to the type of surface to maximize traction.
The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace also offers refined luxury in all its variants, from the available leather sports seats to provide comfort and support, to the contemporary trim options, which greatly used premium materials and exceptional craftsmanship.
Having a Jaguar is a status symbol among motoring enthusiasts around the world. When a person owns a Jaguar, it is one way of saying to others that the person has arrived or he has made it big in his chosen career.
The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace has the sensual and muscular shape that successfully musks its considerable height that fits perfectly well with Jaguar’s current design language.
