The engine variants of the first-ever SUV from the British luxury carmaker include a standard 340-horsepower supercharged V6 engine or an optional 380-horsepower supercharged V6 powertrain.
Both variants have an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive feature. A diesel engine variant will eventually be introduced later according to Jaguar Land Rover.
Just like most modern vehicles these days, the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace utilizes aluminum during the manufacturing process ensuring that the SUV is rigid but very light in weight to reinforce the F-Pace’s sporting intentions.
Some critics say that describing the 2017 F-Pace as an SUV version of the recently introduced Jaguar XE sports sedan would be unkind but not entirely unfair. The two vehicles share the same aluminum platforms and large amounts of underlying structure.
The SUV is also very roomy and shall comfortably seat five passengers including the driver. It has a spacious luggage compartment capacity of 23.3 cubic feet which can further be increased to 61.4 cubic feet if rear seats are folded down.
The most important element in the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace is safety. The SUV includes some safety technologies including adaptive cruise controls, traffic sign recognition, monitor for blind spot, and warning systems when it detects the driver is drowsy.
