2017 Jaguar F-Pace Drives Nicely as it Looks; Features Superb Handling for a Tall SUV

While the British luxury car maker Jaguar came late to the already crowded SUV market, it still came out with something outstanding with the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace.

The SUV’s styling is quite interesting and anyone who knows their Jaguar could clearly see that by just the mere looks alone, they would know that the 2017 F-Pace is truly Jaguar’s.

The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace drives as nicely as it looks. And it also features superb handling for a rather tall SUV, compared to the competition, that is.

Its front-end styling has given the F-Pace more of the sedan look of the XJ or a more modern take on the classic Jaguar style, notes Wtop.

Its interior may not be as flashy as its exterior but the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace is a very nice place to ride. The cabin materials look and feel nice to touch.

F-Pace Gets a tough competition from Kodiaq

Lately, there have been comparisons between two newly-released SUVs, the 2017 F-Pace from Jaguar, and the Kodiaq from Skoda.

The question is which SUV has the best value for money. The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace actually entered the market at the premium end while the Skoda Kodiaq became a pretty cheap option.

Jaguar has clearly turned its first SUV into a desirable looking car with the cool looks, powerful performance, and stylish design of the 2017 F-Pace unlike some of the clunkier looking cars in the same category.

As for the Kodiaq, though it is not that expensive vis-à-vis the 2017 F-Pace, its stylings, in general, have made it look like a much more expensive SUV. It actually looks more refined and less gaudy compared to other SUVs in the market today.

Critics at Express of UK gave the battle for the best value for money to the Skoda Kodiaq. While they insist that they love the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace in an ideal world because of the SUV’s desirable style, design, and great performance, they claimed that the Skoda Kodiaq is well kitted out, looks great, and is really a good value for money.

Rolling out in Thailand

The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace rolled out in Thailand last month ahead of its official debut in the country in the 2016 Motor Expo slated this month.

While initial reports were saying that much of the market of the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace would be in Europe and North America, the entry of the vehicle into Thailand via Inchcape (Thailand), the newly-appointed distributor for Jaguar and Land Rover in the country, means that the British luxury carmaker is also capitalizing on the growth of several Asian countries to make its splash in the region.

However, in addition to the main models of the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace, a different variant arrived in Thailand to match the country’s temperature, road conditions, and other specific factors.

One variant that arrived in Thailand features a 2.0-liter Ingenium diesel engine trim level of the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace capable of exuding 180 horsepower that is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission which drives on all four wheels with torque vectoring control at the rear.

The variant also features 22-inch wheels, 12.3-inch visual instrument cluster on its dashboard, and electric reclining seats.

In addition to the Ingenium diesel engine variant, the other models of the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace that are now available in Thailand are the Pure, the R-Sport, and the Portfolio.

While the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace is more comparable to the BMW X4 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, both having diesel engines and being considered as sporty SUVs, the first ever SUV from the British luxury carmaker is cheaper than the Porsche Macan which features a 2.0-liter gasoline engine at its entry-level model.
