The 2017 Ford Bronco is merely a rumor at this point as Ford Motor Company has yet to come out with an official statement to either confirm or deny it but it has been generating a lot of interests and subsequent speculations as well.
The rumored features and specifications of the 2017 Ford Bronco are no longer new as most of them were hand-me-downs from the 2016 Ford Bronco rumors that started way back on April 1, 2014.
The last official statement from Ford Motor Company was during a press release in February this year where the American carmakers said that it would be producing four SUVs in the next four years.
That somehow lent credence to the 2017 Ford Bronco rumors, far better than the 2016 Ford Bronco speculations were.
Latest rumors about the 2017 Ford Bronco have it that it shall come out in the middle of next year and it would be longer than the last Bronco design released in 1996. In fact, the same speculations are saying that the 2017 Ford Bronco shall be veering off from the design of the Ford Bronco concept shown during the 2004 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan, reports Frog Cars.
Some critics doubt that there would be a 2017 Ford Bronco especially in light of reports that it shall come out in the middle of next year. They believe that a 2017 model vehicle should come out of the market either late in 2016 or very early in 2017 and not in the middle of 2017 because it simply shortens the market lifespan of the vehicle.
Sporting the most modern technologies
Ford did say that it would launch four SUVs in the next four years. On the assumption that one of those SUVs is the Bronco, then it opens the possibility that the company could launch either a 2017 Ford Bronco or a 2018 Ford Bronco or a 2019 Ford Bronco or a 2020 Ford Bronco.
While most of the bet is that the 2020 Ford Bronco is most likely to happen compared to the other three, the 2017 Ford Bronco is still very much a possibility to say the least, which is why even though it is just a rumor at this point, it has better leg to stand on compared to the hoax that was the 2016 Ford Bronco.
Reports have it the 2017 Ford Bronco shall sport the most modern technologies available on most modern SUVs. It will have a touch-screen dashboard with SAT-NAV and infotainment system is reportedly one of the state-of-the-art features that the upcoming SUV will come with, details Handi-tech.
The SUV shall reportedly be based on the Ford Atlas Concept on which the Ford F-150 Raptor was based. It shall be made of lightweight materials such as high-strength steel and aluminum which would be very durable and dependable.
A muscular-looking SUV
The 2017 Ford Bronco shall also come out as a muscular-looking two-door SUV with some elegant touches. It shall sport a chromed grille, two pairs of rounded LED headlights that have become a hallmark of the iconic Bronco vehicle. It shall also have fog lights for enhanced visibility.
In its press statement issued in February, the American car manufacturer confirmed that the legendary Bronco is going to return as they re-explore the origins of the SUV.
The company said that they already presented a concept of the Bronco during the 2004 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan.
It added that the Ford Bronco concept back then demonstrates the original’s authentic spirit while highlighting the latest in powertrain technologies.
