2017 Ford Bronco Speculations Now Under Threat from the Emerging 2018 Ford Bronco Rumors, And More

American carmaker Ford Motors Company has confirmed in February this year that it would be releasing four SUVs in the next four years beginning next year.

A few months later, Ford confirmed that two of the brands that will come out are the Ranger and the Bronco, though the American car manufacturer did not exactly specify which year would the Ranger or the Bronco would come out from 2017 to 2020.

Thus, it opens the possibility for a 2017 Ford Bronco, a 2018 Ford Bronco, a 2019 Ford Bronco, and a 2020 Ford Bronco. But only one of them is real, the three others are speculations. The question remains as to which one is the real deal. Ford has refused to make any confirmation, leaving the internet bustling with the Ford Bronco rumors.

It could be recalled that on April 1, 2014, the 2016 Ford Bronco rumors started floating around and even became a viral topic online.

It was only at the beginning of this year, during an official press release from Ford Motor Company, that the 2016 Ford Bronco was finally laid to rest.

But if there was any consolation to the 2016 Ford Bronco rumors, it was immediately assumed by the 2017 Ford Bronco speculations.

However, it seems that the 2017 Ford Bronco rumors are heading the way of the 2016 Ford Bronco speculations since there are now reports online claiming of a 2018 Ford Bronco coming around, notes Carsoid.

However, the 2018 Ford Bronco reports appear to carry the same specifications and features of the 2016 Ford Bronco and the 2017 Ford Bronco rumors, making it suspicious anew.

There are also rumors saying that the 2017 Ford Bronco is different from the 2018 Ford Bronco, which appears absurd considering that Ford has confirmed that it would release the latest Bronco only one time in the next four years.

Playing it safe

Meanwhile, the Cheat Sheet played it safe by not stating that the Ford Bronco would come out next year or in 2018, preferring instead to report that it would come out anytime from 2017 to 2020.

The outlet, however, made a couple of predictions including the possibility that the Bronco would not have a 5.0-liter V8 engine that Ford offered in the F-150.

The Ford Bronco will not be competing directly with the Chevy Tahoe, which was introduced to replace the full-size Blazer.

Amid speculations that Ford will be moving its production assembly line in Mexico, the Ford Bronco will be built in the US because it is traditionally regarded by enthusiasts as an all-American truck brand.

According to the same predictions, the Ford Bronco will be mostly a four-wheel drive plus the possibility that it will almost certainly have a Raptor version.

However, since these are mere predictions, these are also considered speculations pending the confirmation from Ford Motors Company.

Lighter but faster

Ford has yet to come out with an official statement to confirm whether it would be releasing a 2017 Bronco or not but the vehicle has been a viral topic on the internet ever since the 2016 Ford Bronco hoax died a natural death early this year.

Some of the more pronounced rumored features of the 2017 Ford Bronco are saying that the SUV would come out lighter with faster acceleration and better fuel efficiency.

2015 Ford Bronco

It shall reportedly become one of the most favorable full-size SUVs in the North American market. Its exterior design would be based on the Ford Atlas concept because it shall be its main platform while its interior will be luxurious and spacious.

The same report is also saying that when the SUV comes out sometime next year, it would have a starting price of $45,000.

Since it will be based on the Ford Atlas platform, where the F-150 Raptor was also based, the 2017 Ford Bronco will somewhat come out similar.
