There are reports now going around saying that the 2017 Ford Bronco would be released to the motoring retail market by the American car manufacturer towards the end of next year, reports Auto World News.
However, the more discerning players in the motoring industry believe that a late 2017 release date for a 2017 model vehicle simply does not make sense at all. They think that such rather late release date makes the 2017 Ford Bronco rumors a suspected hoax, just like the 2016 Ford Bronco was when it began on April 1, 2014 and went on until the middle of this year.
Critics believe that if the vehicle is to come out towards the end of 2017, it would have been more appropriate for the car manufacturing company to make it a 2018 model year instead.
They aver that releasing a 2017 model vehicle at the end of 2017 would shorten its lifespan as a brand new model. For instance, if the 2017 Ford Bronco is released in December next year, then it only becomes a timely release in that particular month. Once 2018 sets in, a 2017 model becomes old already.
Thus, they are saying that assuming that the new rumors are on target, then something is wrong with the way Ford determines the model year for its vehicles, which the American carmaker is certainly not.
Four SUVs in four years
Ford Motors Company has confirmed in February this year that it would be releasing four SUVs in the next four year beginning next year.
A few months later, Ford confirmed that two of the brands that will come out are the Ranger and the Bronco, though the American car manufacturer did not exactly specify which year would the Ranger or the Bronco would come out from 2017 to 2020.
Thus, it opened the possibility for a 2017 Ford Bronco, a 2018 Ford Bronco, a 2019 Ford Bronco, and a 2020 Ford Bronco. But only one of them is real, the three others are speculations. The question remains as to which one is the real deal. Ford has refused to make any confirmation, leaving the internet bustling with the Ford Bronco rumors.
It could be recalled that on April 1, 2014, the 2016 Ford Bronco rumors started floating around and even became a viral topic online.
It was only at the beginning of this year, during an official press release from Ford Motor Company, that the 2016 Ford Bronco was finally determined to be a hoax.
But if there was any consolation to the 2016 Ford Bronco rumors, it was immediately assumed by the 2017 Ford Bronco speculations.
Going the way of the 2016 Bronco rumors
However, it seems that the 2017 Ford Bronco rumors are heading the way of the 2016 Ford Bronco speculations since there are now reports of a 2018 Ford Bronco coming around online.
However, the 2018 Ford Bronco reports appears to carry the same specifications and features of the 2016 Ford Bronco and the 2017 Ford Bronco rumors, making it suspicious anew.
There are also rumors saying that the 2017 Ford Bronco is different from the 2018 Ford Bronco, which appears absurd considering that Ford has confirmed that it would release the latest Bronco only one time in the next four years.
Meanwhile, some others are playing it safe by not stating that the Ford Bronco would come out next year or in 2018, preferring instead to report that it would come out anytime from 2017 to 2020.
Some critics have made a couple of predictions including the possibility that it would not have a 5.0-liter V8 engine that Ford offered in the F-150, reports Ford New Models.
The Ford Bronco will not be competing directly with the Chevy Tahoe, which was introduced to replace the full-size Blazer.
