2016 Subaru WRX Loaded with Full Suite of Active Safety Features

More than just being a sporty-looking performance sedan, the 2016 Subaru WRX is actually loaded with the Japanese carmaker’s full suite of active safety features, typical of the extensive protection system that Subaru vehicles are known to possess.

The entry-level WRX model features a new 6.2-inch touchscreen while the premium WRX model has the 7-inch touchscreen which also has voice recognition capability and the Pandora smartphone app integration.

The price of the WRX base model remains unchanged, but the WRX premium is higher by $900. The STI model gets a $500 cut while the STI premium model gets a $400 increase for the model with no spoiler, and $700 for those that already features a rear spoiler.

WRX S4 to be launched in Japan

On August 25, Subaru Japan will be launching a new sedan dubbed as WRX S4 which shall not only feature the Japanese carmaker’s top AWD sports performance but also its unique overall safety performance.

The WRX S4 is a high-trim variant of the WRX which is likely to be released only for the Japanese market, cites the Motor Authority.

According to Subaru, the S4 has four meanings which are sports performance, safety performance, smart driving, and sophisticated feel, which is actually the essential attributes of the WRX sports sedan.
