All in all, the general consensus among reviewers seems to be that the 2016 WRX is Subaru’s attempt to make the model a more family-friendly vehicle, something with more utility and features that can be seen as useful by those who want to take longer road trips.
At the same time, it does a good job at pleasing the original crowds that loved the WRX so much, and it delivers an excellent package of high performance and (arguably) good looks for an adequate price.
As long as Subaru put some effort into their marketing and promote this model carefully, they should see a lot of success with it and enjoy great recognition on the market. They may even lay the foundation for future releases done in the same style.
Because the market definitely does need something of this kind – some sort of middle ground between high performance, stylish looks and good comfort features, and the 2016 WRX seems to be hitting all of those edges in an appropriate way. We can’t wait to see how the model is going to perform on the market once it’s had a chance to establish some sort of impression, but we safely assume at this point that it’s going to be talked about a lot.
