With the advent of the month of June, it is now clear that the rumors about the 2016 Ford Bronco are just plain rumors and nothing more.
It would be foolhardy for Ford Motor Company or for any carmaker worth its salt to release a 2016 model in the middle of the year. Now that it is already June, the speculations about the 2016 Ford Bronco is almost done with.
Interestingly, with the expected demise of the 2016 Ford Bronco rumors, speculations on the 2017 Ford Bronco have started picking up online and it seems that it would run until Ford finally announces when would the latest generation of the Bronco will come out.
Because of the recent announcement of Ford Motor Company in February this year, it seems clear that the American car manufacturer would be launching four new vehicles in the next four years and one of them is going to be a Ford Bronco.
Reports are now rife that it is likely that the Bronco would come out in 2020 but that does not stop rumors about a 2017 Ford Bronco, or a 2018 Ford Bronco, or a 2019 Ford Bronco, from permeating online.
A highly anticipated SUV
The 2017 Ford Bronco is one of the most highly-anticipated SUVs to look forward to from the American car manufacturer after it stopped production of the iconic brand back in 1996.
The SUV shall reportedly be utilizing the same chassis that was used to build the Ford F-150 but there are also reports saying that it would utilize the Atlas concept model.
The third set of rumors says that it would come out similar to the 2004 concept presented by Ford during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan and it will feature Ford’s new SUV design language as well as its latest pickup trucks, reports USA Cars Today.
Accordingly, the side of the 2017 Ford Bronco would be quite long and it would have six lug aluminum wheels, dual taillights, two flat exhaust tips, an accompanying chrome bumper, and a big tailgate.
The same reports also say that the interior of the 2017 Ford Bronco will exude an aircraft style and ambiance given its expected high-tech features to go with its luxurious looks given the high-end materials to be used for the seats. The sophistication and technology of the interior would be accentuated by the large touchscreen and infotainment system in the middle of the dashboard.
Rumored release dates
Reports also have it that the 2017 Ford Bronco would hit the showrooms in the middle of 2017, which make it a suspect anew.
The SUV shall reportedly come out as a larger and beefier truck with modern LED headlights and less respect for the past, notes Gas2.
It shall also have a high-performance variant featuring a 5.8-liter V8 engine similar to the one found on the Shelby GT500. The specific 2017 Ford Bronco model would be capable of producing 662 horsepower and 631 pound-feet of torque.
Meanwhile, the rumors and reports about the 2016 Ford Bronco only prove that car enthusiast the world over are almost dying to see what the 21st century Bronco would look like when it finally comes out of the market.
Subsequently, there were also reports about a supposed 2017 Ford Bronco, which only put the 2016 Ford Bronco in the hot seat as being a hoax. Because a carmaker would surely not come out with a refreshed version of its truck brand that was out for 20 years, and then follow it up with a new iteration less than one year later.
It was only in February this year when Ford Motor Company finally announced in public that it would be launching four new sport utility vehicles (SUVs) in the next four years, which means from next year until 2020.
