2016 Ford Bronco is a Concept Car That Was Blown Out of Proportion, More Details

It is normal for car manufacturers to release a concept car of certain vehicle lines, the idea behind which is basically to test the waters on whether motorists and the market will accept the upcoming offering.

Sometimes, some concept cars do not go into production at all while others are manufactured alright, but they no longer carry the name of the concept car as only the production platform was used.

It seems to be the case with the 2016 Ford Bronco. It was merely a concept car that was being planned for possible unveiling by the American car maker in the future but the stories and the leaks got the better out of the idea and it was blown out of proportion.

Eventually, reports came out that the 2016 Ford Bronco was a hoax because the news about the refreshed pickup truck started on April 1, 2014, which happens to be April Fool’s Day.

KpopStarz also detailed that an interview with some Ford personnel confirmed that the reports about the 2016 Ford Bronco that began in 2014 were not true as there is no current plan for a new Bronco even though the car manufacturer really values the iconic Bronco brand and history.

With all the specifications and features released about the 2016 Ford Bronco, one could not help but believe that the vehicle may indeed be real because it is just too impossible for someone to make all those things up.

Accordingly, the 2016 Ford Bronco will have three engine variants including a 5.0-liter eight-cylinder Coyote gasoline engine which has a maximum power of 420 horsepower, a 4.9-liter six-cylinder Powerstroke diesel powertrain exuding strength of 330 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of maximum torque, and a 5.8-liter eight-cylinder gas engine with maximum power of 662 horsepower and 631 pound-feet of maximum torque.

Facebook page

The 2016 Ford Bronco has a Facebook page with the official name of 2016 Ford SVT Bronco. It has been regularly posting updates on the 2016 Ford Bronco since December last year through news feeds on the internet that usually comes with images of the upcoming truck with the trimmings of an SUV.

There have been countless reports and posts on the 2016 Ford Bronco Facebook page, with some of them running in contrast to one another so it’s up to the readers actually to discern which are true and accurate, and which are not.

Perusing through the posts on its Facebook page, it can be gleaned that 2016 Ford SVT Bronco has began posting about the supposed vehicle beginning on December 6, 2014, all the way to April 1, 2015.

Subsequently, on April 2, 2015, a post was made on the Facebook page but it is no longer about the 2016 Ford Bronco but already about the 2017 Ford Bronco.

Since then, it can be noticed that the same Facebook page has no longer posted anything at all about the 2016 Ford Bronco.

After the April 2 post on the 2017 Ford Bronco, the next post was made on May 9, also about the 2017 Ford Bronco. Beyond that date, however, there has been no more posting about either the 2016 Ford Bronco or the 2017 Ford Bronco.

The same Facebook page also did not post an article or elaborate on whatever happened to the 2016 Ford Bronco.

The problem is, Ford Motor Company has yet to make a statement or pronouncement since April 1, 2014, to either confirm or deny the existence of the 2016 Ford Bronco previously and now the 2017 Ford Bronco.
