2016 Apple MacBook Air Release Date Window Now Pegged from This Month to January 2016!

If the latest rumors on the release date of the 2016 Apple MacBook Air are to be believed, the upcoming notebook from the American tech giant may actually come out to the market anytime from today until January 2016.

Accordingly, the release date window for the 2016 MacBook Air has been specified between this month up to January 2016, notes MNR Daily.

November 2015 as the release date of Apple’s latest notebook has made it to the rumor mill because previous reports said that the 2016 MacBook Air could actually come out during the Black Friday weekend.

Black Friday is the biggest sales event in the US, immediately following the Thanksgiving celebration. It is where Americans get the best deals and great bargains from the biggest retailers on practically anything they want to buy for their own or Christmas gifts to their loved ones and friends.

Not a good business move

Strategically, it does not make good business sense for Apple to release the 2016 MacBook Air on a Black Friday because people would be looking for great deals and bargains.

As a new device, it is almost impossible for Apple to offer its new notebook with a huge discount or offer it for a promo. Even if the 2016 MacBook Air is new, people will overlook it in search of better and more affordable Apple products, like the 2015 MacBook Air for instance.

With that being said, some speculations suggest that a December 2015 launch for the 2016 MacBook Air is also possible. While December appears plausible compared to November, but only if Apple does not streamline the MacBook line.

The Apple MacBook line has too many products that compete against each other which is the main reason why the American tech giant gets an overall poor sales result from it.

According to Carolina Milanesi, chief of research and head of US business for Kantar World Panel Comtech, the 2016 MacBook Air should not be around much longer than it should. She adds that all notebooks need to be more mobile so something like the Air does not need to be branched out anymore. She also says that Apple will benefit if it does not have so many families of Macs.

Insisting on a Black Friday rollout

Meanwhile, some news outlets still believe that the Black Friday launching of the 2016 MacBook Air is still very much possible.

The Times of India, for instance, believes that releasing the 2016 MacBook Air during the Black Friday sales event will be a good move for Apple since the sales event is the start of the festive shopping in the US.

While people would be on the hunt for great bargains during Black Friday, which is on November 27 this year, the sales event is actually just the beginning of the American shopping frenzy for the Holidays.

The idea is to get the 2016 MacBook Air into the mindset of shoppers early so that when it is already time to do their Christmas shopping, the device may very well be considered.

Accordingly, Apple’s latest notebook along with its latest power laptop, the 2016 MacBook Pro, would be arriving this year instead of early next year.

There are two things that seem to support the rumors on the new release dates of the 2016 MacBook Air and the 2016 MacBook Pro. The first one has something to do with the reduced prices of their respective predecessor devices, which normally happens when successor devices are about to come out.

However, the drop in the prices could be in preparation for the Black Friday sales event more than a reduction for the upcoming successor.

The second proof that the latest Apple notebook and laptop could come out before the end of this year is based on a new Mac code called AAPL951 which indicates the launch of new MacBooks could occur sooner rather than later. The same code also indicated that a new MacBook Pro could come out very soon, notes the Gospel Herald.

If a new MacBook Pro is about to come out, then it follows that its little brother, the 2016 MacBook Air, is likely to roll out soon too.
