The market for portable devices has been changing significantly as new trends are emerging and people are focusing on different aspects of the products that they buy. We’re likely going to see further shifts in this regard in the future, and it will certainly be interesting to see where everything leads up to.
It’s also important to note that Apple have been facing more and more competition from all sides on this market, and even people who have traditionally been their fans have been finding themselves gravitating towards other brands due to the features that they offer compared to Apple.

The expectations surrounding the device have been growing proportionally to the delay in its release, and if Apple keep it off the market any longer they might suffer from their own hype.
